Bob Shapard is Chairman and CEO of Oncor, one of the largest electricity transmission and distribution companies in the United States. Mr. Shapard has extensive operating, financial, and leadership experience in multiple industries. Prior to his current tenure at Oncor he served as Chief Financial Officer of Tenet Healthcare Corporation, which operates one of the largest for-profit hospital groups in the United States. Prior to this position he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Exelon Corporation, one the largest electricity generators and utility operators in the United States. Earlier Mr. Shapard was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ultramar Diamond Shamrock (UDS), a leading North American refining and marketing company. Prior to UDS he was Managing Director of TXU Australia, which owned and operated electricity and natural gas businesses based in Melbourne, Australia. Mr. Shapard also served as the Chairman of GridWise Alliance, a leading advocacy organization focused on the advancement of all aspects of the US electric grid, where he remains a Board member. He is also a Board member of Leidos Corporation, a scientific, engineering, systems integration, and technical services company focused on national defense, health care, and engineering. Mr. Shapard is also active in civic organizations. He is cochairman of The Dallas Mayor’s Youth Fitness Initiative and on the Board of the Circle Ten Council of Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Shapard is also involved with the American Heart Association and was the Chairman of the 2012 and 2013 Dallas Heart Walks.
